Cocaine, Synthetic Marijuana Found At Mahwah Home

A Mahwah man, and Luke D. Rosenberger, 23, were charged with possession of synthetic marijuana, authorities said.

MAHWAH, N.J. — A township resident and a Ramsey man were charged after authorities found cocaine, marijuana, and synthetic marijuana after searching their homes Thursday, said Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal.

Police searched a Mahwah home and Luke Rosenberger's Ramsey home after Ramsey and Mahwah police, and members of the Prosecutor's Office Narcotic Task Force conducted an investigation, Grewal said.

Detectives found suspected cocaine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana. and drug paraphernalia used to distribute controlled dangerous substance after searching the homes, Grewal said.

The cocaine and marijuana were found in Rosenberger's residence, and the synthetic marijuana was found in the Mahwah home, Grewal said.

Authorities also found $2,197 in cash in Rosenberger's home, the acting prosecutor said.

The Mahwah man was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a fourth-degree crime.

Rosenberger, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, a third-degree crime and possession with the intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. Grewal said.

Rosenberger and the Mahwah man were released on summonses pending a June 22 court appearance, authorities said.
