Letter of Support of Team Mahwah’s Anthony Miller

I am writing this letter in support of Anthony Miller for Town Council. I have known him for 10 years, and he is one of the best leaders I’ve known.  He was the captain of our varsity hockey team and always led by example. He didn’t need to say a lot because he was one of the few people whose actions spoke louder than his words. I have seen Anthony in all types of situations, and he never gets swayed by peer pressure. If people weren’t doing their jobs, Anthony would do what he felt was right, and people just magically followed him. On my teams, I always preached about character, and Anthony and I were always on the same page. When times got tough on the ice, I could always count on Anthony to do the right thing. This type of leader in a physical, tough sport is so rare.  

          In addition to Anthony’s character, he is incredibly bright.  He is currently attending Villanova University and aims to become a lawyer. Being an outstanding student, athlete, and human being is rare. It’s these qualities that I saw in Anthony as a young adult that will make him a fantastic candidate for Town Council. To be a good public figure, you have to be trustworthy, and I would trust Anthony completely. I know he would put our best interests first and always represent us.  I hereby endorse Anthony for Town Council.
