Letter of Support for Robert Ferguson of Team Mahwah for Council

A Record of Getting Done

I’ve known Rob Ferguson since his first successful campaign for Mahwah Township Council. Now, as he seeks a third term, I think the best way to evaluate Rob is not by what he promises to do, but by what he has already done.

After eight years on the Council, Rob now serves as Council President. During his tenure, he has taken on responsibilities ranging from the Ordinance Committee to the Township’s Historic Preservation Commission, while serving as a liaison to the Board of Education and Library Board of Trustees.

But perhaps most importantly, Rob has brought his professional financial expertise into municipal government. As a Chief Financial Officer and Certified Management Accountant with more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, he brings practical knowledge of budgets, expenditures and long-term financial planning to decisions that directly affect Mahwah taxpayers.

That experience has been particularly relevant as Mahwah has addressed major capital and infrastructure needs, including water and sewer improvements, road projects, public-safety equipment, and other municipal investments. The Council has also continued working to maintain municipal services while managing the 2026 budget.

Rob's record is one of steady, hands-on service. He has spent eight years learning the issues, understanding the process, and helping make the decisions that keep Mahwah moving forward.

For me, that is what this election should be about: results, experience, and accountability.

Rob Ferguson has a record to run on—and I believe that record speaks for itself.
