The list, which is unranked, cited the college's location "between the switchbacks" of the Ramapo Mountains as reason for its inclusion.

MAHWAH, NJ — It's official, Ramapo College has a beautiful campus. At least Condé Nast Traveler seems to think so.

The college was included in the publication's "50 Most Beautiful College Campuses" list, published in late July.

In a statement from the college, officials celebrated their inclusion on the list.

"In addition to its excellence in academics and its dedicated faculty and staff who mentor, one of the unique aspects that has distinguished Ramapo and attracted students to it for its 50 years is the beauty of the campus," said Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs Christopher Romano.

Condé Nast said outdoor activities at student's disposal thanks to the college's prime location "planted firmly between the switchbacks of the Ramapo Mountains" are a big plus for prospective students.
