Police saved a dog that wasn’t breathing inside a Bergenfield home Sunday, NJ.com reported.
Heavy smoke was coming from inside the home when firefighters and police arrived, according to the report.
Police forced their way inside the single-family home and found the dog alone inside, the report states.

Emergency responders performed CPR on the dog, a Boxer, and revived it, the report states. The dog was returned to the homeowner. No one was injured.
The fire caused heavy damage to the roof and the home is uninhabitable, the report states. No one was injured in the fire. Authorities are investigating what caused the fire.
