Eric Bolling Jr., Son Of Fired Bergen Fox News Anchor, Suffered 'Emotional Trauma' Before Death: Report

Eric Chase Bolling Jr. went through "emotional torture" over his dad leaving Fox News for allegedly sending lewd texts to female colleagues.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The son of former Fox News anchor was found dead in his Boulder, Colorado, home after suffering "emotional torture" over his father leaving the network, according to a report.

Eric Bolling Sr., a Demarest resident, parted ways with Fox News last month after an investigation into allegations that he sent female colleagues lewd text messages, HuffPost originally reported.

The younger Bolling was a second-year student at the University of Colorado, CNN reported.

Eric Chase Bolling Jr. died in his bed with the covers over him; there was no suicide note and no drug paraphernalia or pill bottles near the body, TMZ.com reported.

Bolling Sr. said in a tweet Saturday that he and his wife Adrienne were "devastated by the loss" of their son.

An autopsy will be performed on Bolling Jr.'s body this week and there were no signs of self harm, Bolling Sr. said.

Bolling said Sunday that his and his wife were "overwhelmed" by the love and support they received.
