EVENT TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY CENTER
Mahwah, NJ – For over 10 years, Temple Hindu Samaj Mandir has held its annual ball to fundraise for the temple and community center. Open to the public, the annual ball will be held on May 12, 2012 at Temple Hindu Samaj Mandir, 246 West Ramapo Avenue, Mahwah, New Jersey from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Last year, over $30,000 was raised to benefit Hindu Samaj and the community center. With over 1,200 temple members, Hindu Samaj looks forward to welcoming its members and the public for an interfaith entertaining evening. The annual ball is held each year to celebrate the temple members and encourage growth in the Indian community by coupling education and festivity.
Tickets are $125 per person including one hour of cocktails, dinner catered by Baluchi’s, performances from award-winning Moksha Arts Dance Academy, music provided by celebrity singer Sunita Kapur and disc jockey Gera, and a silent auction. Temple Hindu Samaj Mandir operates to promote spiritual, social and cultural development of those who believe in the Hindu religion and to unify the Hindu community by celebrating and appreciating all aspects on the philosophy and religion. Hindu Samaj helps children develop a sense of pride and identify with Indian heritage while preparing them to be upstanding citizens in a diverse world. The temple also provides assistance to the members of the community who are in critical need and engage in humanitarian activities in hopes to support inter-religious understanding.
