“Ragtime” The Music of Scott Joplin and Other Ragtime Composers with the City Winds Trio

Celebrate the Library Centennial with the syncopated sounds of 1912. Scott Joplin is considered to be the greatest composer of Ragtime Music. His life and music will be discussed and then performed. The City Winds Trio will play some of his greatest pieces including The Entertainer, Maple Leaf Rag and also some of his waltzes such as Bethena and Pleasant Moments. This concert is free. No tickets are necessary. Seats are on a “first come” basis.
