Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Delays Traffic On I-287, N.Y. Thruway, Route 17, Report Says

A fatal accident on the NY Thruway in Ramapo, N.Y. is causing traffic delays on I-287, Route 17 and in the area.

New York State Police are on the scene of the four-vehicle accident, News12 reported.

The accident occurred just after 9:45 a.m. and involved a tractor-trailer, two box trucks, and a car at exit 14B, the report states. At least one person is dead. Another is critically injured and another person has a minor injury.

Traffic is being diverted at exit 15 to Route 17 South. Motorists should expect extensive delays in the area.
