FEMA Assistance Teams Schedule Additional Bergen County Dates

The agency will send representatives to more locations across the county as recovery efforts continue after Tropical Storm Ida. Here's when.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The Federal Office of Emergency Management has scheduled additional dates for Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams to meet with residents affected by Tropical Storm Ida across the county.

These teams will be on hand to answer questions, assist with registration for FEMA Individual Assistance, and conduct inquiries on the status of existing applications.

According to county officials, these dates are supplemental to the disaster recovery center that opened in the Bergen Community College Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack.

The center will host representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration, who can assist residents as they fill out applications for disaster relief.

The disaster recovery center is located on the first floor of the learning center, at 355 Main St., Hackensack, NJ. It will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until further notice. Parking is available on Berry Street.
