Former FBI 'Ten Most Wanted' Fugitive Admits Robbing Bergen Bank
John Edward Stevens, 62, pleaded guilty to armed robbery Tuesday, authorities said.

A man who was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List in 1988 Tuesday admitted robbing a TD Bank in Oakland in April 2013, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
John Edward Stevens, 62, pleaded guilty to armed bank robbery, the second count in an indictment filed against him, Fishman said.
Stevens admitted that after entering the bank, he brandished a handgun at a bank employee, took several thousand dollars in cash, and fled the scene, Fishman said.
