Four-Star General Honored in Bergen County

Bergen County Clerk John S. Hogan recently welcomed retired four-star Gen. Wesley Clark to a veteran’s event in the county.

Clark served as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and is the recipient of numerous military decorations including the Purple Heart for injuries incurred in Vietnam, two bronze stars, a silver star and a Combat Infantryman Badge.

He graduated valedictorian of West Point class of 1966 where he was also a Rhodes scholar.

Clark is the recipient of several honorary Knighthoods and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Hogan presented the general with a certificate of recognition for a lifetime spent in protecting and preserving our nation’s freedom.
