Free Summer Horseback Riding Program for Children of Active Military or Veterans Living in Bergen County

Children of active military or veterans living in Bergen County can enjoy a week of riding and caring for horses this summer.

Pony Power Therapies, located in Mahwah, NJ, is offering a free summer program for children of active-duty military and veterans living in Bergen County, July 10-13, 9am - 12pm. Only a handful of spots remain!

Operation Pony Power gives children, aged 5-17, the opportunity to ride and learn about the farm and its horses. The kids will begin their day riding, then break into groups for activities like grooming, horse first-aid, arts and crafts and gardening.

Pony Power will provide a helmet for riding, as well as a snack and water throughout the morning. Participants need to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes (sneakers or boots) while on the farm.
