Hundreds Celebrate Life, Legacy Of Les Paul [PHOTOS]

Gala celebrates what would have been the inventor's 97th birthday

About three hundred Les Paul fans and music enthusiasts gathered at Saturday night to celebrate what would have been the inventor’s 97th birthday. The Les Paul Gala was put on by the as part of its “” exhibit, which highlights the 50-plus years that the music legend lived in the township.

Guests at the gala enjoyed food, drink, dessert, live music, raffle prizes and memorabilia. Partygoers were able to purchase Les Paul guitars, pictures, books and other merchandise via a silent auction and live auction that had in-person and online bidders. With some individual items fetching $5,000 and more, the gala raised thousands of dollars for the museum and Les Paul Foundation.
