The 50,000-square-foot facility would be located next to a spa that has a 400-degree detoxification room.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — The first step to bring a 50,000-square-foot indoor water park to North Jersey was taken recently.

The Palisades Park park would go behind King Spa, a 24-hour spa that offers massages, body scrubs, lounges and various places to eat, NorthJersey.com reported.

The water park and spa would be linked internally, according to the report.

Work has begun on clearing the lot on Commercial Avenue where the park would go, according to the report.

King Spa offers customers the chance to detoxify in a 400-degree gul room, which uses a combination of salt, burning oak wood and yellow soil while sweating, according to the company's website.
