In this time of political morass on the local, state and federal levels, it's refreshing to be able to turn to a proven leader. Once again, John Roth is taking up the public service gauntlet and be willing to guide the Township of Mahwah through these difficult times. Over the years, John Roth has admirably served this community on the Board of Education, Township Council (elected by his peers on the council), and also serving as Council liaison to Mahwah Senior Citizens and Mahwah's Community Access channel. During his terms on the council there were times (out of the public limelight) where Mr. Roth offered mentoring advice to mayor Laforet's during his early tenor as mayor.
John Roth is not a fledgling political entity who, when elected, would have to undergo a period of "on the job training." Mr. Roth has repeatedly proven that he has the wherewith all to smoothly transition into the office of mayor without a prolonged learning curve. Throughout his years of public service John has always made it a point of returning resident's call and addressing their concerns in a straight-forward caring way.
