Years before becoming a famous journalist for The New York Times, Joyce Kilmer worked briefly with his father, Frederick, at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals. He was assigned to write a book for pharmacists on how best to arrange window displays. But he didn't think much of his literary handiwork. "God help the druggist who decks his windows after my suggestions," he later remarked.
