Mafia Street Gang Member, Associates, Arrested On Drug And Firearm Charges
Authorities found handguns, hollow-point bullets and body armor at a Ridgefield Park home as a result of an investigation.
Four Bergen County men, including a member of the Mafia Street Gang, were arrested on narcotics, firearm and child-endangerment charges, the result of a multi-agency investigation involving the distribution of narcotics in Ridgefield Park, authorities said.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office received information that narcotics were being distributed out of a Grove Street home in Ridgefield Park and revealed that Jean C. Carmona, 25, and Jose Plasencia, 18, were the ones responsible, Gurbir S. Grewal, Bergen County's acting prosecutor, said in a news release.
Carmona is a confirmed member of the Mafia Street Gang, Grewal said.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the house and seized two handguns, hollow-point and .22-caliber ammunition, body armor, suspected marijuana, two digital scales and numerous plastic baggies commonly used to distribute narcotics, Grewal said.
Carmona, Plasencia, Anthony Sanchez Jr., 24, and James Fattorusso, 29, were arrested at the residence. Sanchez and Fattorusso also live at the house, the prosecutor said.

Carmona was charged with possessing a firearm having been convicted of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of body armor and possession of hollow-point ammunition, Grewal said. His bail was set at $75,000 with no 10 percent option.
Plasencia was charged with multiple counts of possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a weapon, a machete and large knife and possession of drug paraphernalia, Grewal said. His bail was set at $35,000 with no 10 percent option.
Fattorusso was charged with multiple counts of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, Grewal said. His bail was set at $25,000, with no 10 percent option.
The men are scheduled to appear in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court Nov. 16 at 8:30 a.m.
The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Bergen County Sheriff's Office and Ridgefield Park Police Department conducted the investigation.
