MAHWAH, NJ — A township resident attending Bergen County Community College received a scholarship from the college's foundation recently.
Riyaben Chaudhardy received the $1,000 Indian-American of Paramus Scholarship.
More than $20 million in scholarships have been awarded since the foundation was created in 1982, including $200,000 this year to 169 students.

The scholarships are funded by community members, faculty, and staff members at Bergen Community College. The foundation decides who is awarded scholarships.
More than 14,000 students are enrolled at Bergen Community College. The College offers associate degrees, certificates, and continuing education programs in a variety of fields.
