Mahwah Council Member Announces Run For Mayor
In a Facebook post, Town Council member James "Jim" Wysocki announced he would run for mayor in Mahwah.

MAHWAH, NJ — Council member James "Jim" Wysocki is running for mayor.
Announced through Facebook, Wysocki said he hopes to make big changes if elected to the office.
"I am running for Mayor because I want to change the way the Mayor’s office and administration operate," he wrote.

"In this new era, there needs to be more frequent and open communication with residents, better and more fair treatment of municipal employees and more collaboration with the Township Council to accomplish all the crucial initiatives needed to move Mahwah forward."
A life-long resident of Mahwah, Wysocki was elected to the township council in 2016, and has served in the role since.

Wysocki graduated from Mahwah High School in 1980 and is a retired police officer and volunteer firefighter.
"As a current member of the Town Council and as a lifelong resident of Mahwah, my experience and knowledge will carry over to the position of Mayor," he said.
