Mahwah High School Student Earns Prestigious Scholarship
Principal John Pascale congratulated Victoria Koa on 'this important accomplishment.'
MAHWAH, NJ — A township high school student has received a scholarship from the UPS Foundation.
Senior Victoria Koa has received the James E. Casey Scholarship. Koa received the scholarship in part to how well she scored on the 2015 Preliminary SAT. Other factors include a student's academic performance, leadership qualities and extracurricular and volunteer activities.
Principal John Pascale congratulated Koa on "this important accomplishment."

Another Mahwah student, Alan Xing, received a National Merit scholarship. Xing, a student at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack, received the National Merit Pfizer Inc. Scholarship.

More than 1.6 million students took the PSAT in 2015 and only about 15,000 qualified as finalists for scholarships.
