Mahwah to hold Halloween Costume Parade, Trunk or Treat Oct. 31

Mahwah’s annual Halloween Costume Parade and Trunk or Treat event, run by the Mahwah Recreation Committee, will be held rain or shine on Friday, Oct. 31 in the front parking lot at the Mahwah Municipal Building on Corporate Drive.

The Trunk or Treat will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the costume parade and contest at 6 p.m.

The costume contest, which is for children and infants through fifth grade, will be judged by age group and prizes will be awarded for best costume. There will also be prizes awarded for best parent’s costume.

For safety reasons, those who wish to set up their cars to distribute candy at the Trunk or Treat should arrive between 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. Feel free to decorate your car for the occasion.
