Mahwah HS Lacrosse Player to take part in US Lacrosse event

Jack Norberto, Class of 2021, to represent Mahwah High School at national lacrosse event

US Lacrosse, the nation's national governing body, has invited nearly 300 high school-age (U15 and U17) athletes from 27 states to compete in the first-ever National Team Development Program (NTDP) Combine this week (August 19-21) at its headquarters in Sparks, Md.

One of those players is Jack Norberto of Mahwah High School (Class of 2021) and his lacrosse club teams, Ramsey-based Patriot STARS and the Montgomery, AL-based Shred Thread National Team.

Divided into separate three-day sessions for boys and girls, the combine will include on-field, strength and conditioning, recruiting and sport psychology training. The players, including Jack Norberto, were selected from a pool of more than 1,300 who participated in 21 regional trials (boys and girls) conducted in partnership with the Premier Lacrosse League and Women’s Professional Lacrosse League.

Following the combine, a total of 88 players will be named to USA Select teams at the U15 and U17 levels for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse and play in international competition this Fall.
