Mahwah Library to hold 'Ichabod Crane: Washington Irving & the Legend of Sleepy Hollow" Production Oct. 19
The theater production is free and seats are on a first come, first served basis.

The American Historical Theatre will present ”Ichabod Crane: Washington Irving, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” at the Mahwah Library’s Winter Room on Sunday, Oct. 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
This adult program is an adaptation of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” written by Washington Irving.
The interactive one-man performance by actor Neill Hartley tells the story of the headless horseman and draws the audience into the schoolmaster’s world in sleepy Tarry Town.

The program, followed by discussion about this 19th century author who also wrote Rip Van Winkle, ends with a dramatic reading of the story’s postscript.
“Ichabod Crane: Washington Irving and the Legend of Sleepy Hollow” is free. No tickets are necessary. Seats are on a first come basis. This program is funded through the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities
