Mahwah Library Partners With Online Tutoring Service

Library cardholders can access materials on tutor.com any day of the week, anytime.

The Mahwah Public Library has launched a new program that offers patrons the services of a one-on-one tutor.

Any Mahwah Library cardholder can receive live tutoring from Tutor.com anyday from 3 to 10 p.m. The free service is available through the the Mahwah Public Library’s website.

Tutor.com includes live, one-to-one tutoring, a real-time writing cetner, and acess to review quizzes, worksheets, videos and tutorialis in a variety of subjects.

The service is available for all elementary, secondary, and college students and adults.

“We see students struggling with homework every day,” said library director Kurt Hadeler. “Tutor.com is perfect for when students need help the most, after-school and on the weekends. Tutors engage the students, one-on-one, and walk them through questions they don’t understand. Having access to professional tutors makes a huge impact on student performance.”
