Mahwah Museum Hosts Sean McClowry On Les Paul
The presentation will explore Les Paul's several methods of overdubbing on the road to multi-track recording.

MAHWAH, NJ — The Mahwah Museum will host "The Story of the Sound on Sound Machine", with Sean McClowry on Dec. 4 at 11 a.m.
This presentation will explore Les Paul’s several methods of overdubbing on the road to multi-track recording. The presentation will explore four different ways that Paul achieved and pioneered Sound on Sound. Two machines will be used to demonstrate this process, particularly the record cutter.

Sean McClowry is currently an Associate Professor of Music Industry at the College Of Saint Rose, teaching courses in record production, analog recording, songwriting & composition, music business, and double bass.
McClowry is active as a music producer, composer, songwriter, and performing artist in both popular and classical music worlds. Specializing in historic methods of recording and music production, his area of research is Les Paul and Mary Ford, their groundbreaking recordings, and technical advancements as recording artists. He is currently working on a book about Les Paul.

Due to the continued impact of COVID-19, the event will be capped at 25 people, and masks will be required.
Admission for non-members is $5 and will be collected at the door.
