Mahwah Officials Warn Residents Of Package Delivery Scam
DMC Services leaves a note that they allegedly tried to deliver a package to a resident's home.

Mahwah officials are warning residents of a scam.
Recently, Council President John Roth received a postcard at his home from DMC Services, an alleged package delivery company based in Deltona, Florida.
The card states that the company attempted to deliver a package to Roth’s home and that he should call a telephone number and provide a tracking number to schedule a time to receive the package at home.

The company has an “F” rating and more than 100 complaints it have been filed with the Better Business Bureau. Many complaints state that a sales representative, either in person or on the phone, pressures a customer to purchase a product they did not order or provide personal information to the company.
“They left a letter in my mailbox with my information on it trying to sell me a $7,000 piece of equipment and pressuring me to do so,” the most recent complaint states. “I allowed them to come in, because I wanted some free detergent, but the salesman stayed for over 2 hours pressuring into buying a water purifier.”
