Mahwah Police Arrest Marijuana Dealer At Route 17 Hotel

Lisa tortorelli, 33, was about to rendezvous with a buyer when detectives arrested her, police said.

MAHWAH, N.J. — Police arrested a marijuana dealer as she was preparing to meet with a buyer at a Route 17 hotel Thursday, authorities said.

Lisa Tortorelli, 33, of Chester, New York, was arrested after Detective Lt. Guido Bussinelli and Detective Sgt. Kevin Hebert investigated her, and Detectives Michael Grassi and Eric Larsen interrupted her at the hotel, said Chief James Batelli.

Tortorelli went into the hotel parking lot to rendezvous with a buyer, Batelli said. Tortorelli had marijuana with her that was packaged and ready to be sold, police said.

Tortorelli was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. She was released on a summons pending an appearance in Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court on Aug. 5.

Police are continuing their investigation, Batelli said.
