Mahwah Postal Worker Was Drunk On Route: Police
BREAKING: Jeffrey Stepp, 53, drove his postal truck intoxicated, authorities said.

MAHWAH, N.J. — A township mail carrier was arrested after he was caught driving his postal service truck drunk on his route Wednesday morning, police said.
Police received a call at 10:38 a.m. from a Mahwah Postal Inspector stating that he had been notified that one of their postal workers may have been intoxicated, said Chief James N. Batelli.
Officers Robert Loveman and Michael Connington and the inspector met the worker, Jeffery Stepp, 53, of Mahwah, on Meadow Lake Drive in the Fardale section of town, Batelli said.

Police conducted a sobriety test and interviewed Stepp, after which they arrested and charged him with driving while intoxicated, the chief said.
Stepp was taken to Mahwah Police Headquarters and his mail truck and mail was taken to the postal inspector to be delivered by another postal employee, Batelli said.
