Mahwah Public Schools Closed Friday

MAHWAH, NJ — All township public schools are closed Friday due to inclement weather.

Local roads are still icy and wet from the nor'easter that blanketed North Jersey with snow and sleet Thursday and Friday morning.

"Based on the early morning snowfall and consistently low temperatures, and in consultation with our town's Department of Public Works and our schools' facility staff, we are unable to get the roads and sidewalks safe for the children and transportation," district officials said in a message on the school district's website.
