Mahwah Recreation Committee to hold Halloween Costume Parade, Truck or Treet Oct. 31

The annual Halloween Costume Parade and Trunk or Treat Event, run by the Recreation Committee, will be held rain or shine on Friday, Oct. 31 in the front parking lot at the Mahwah Municipal Building on Corporate Drive.

The Trunk or Treat will start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the costume parade and contest at 6 p.m.

The costume contest, which is for children, from infants through grade 5, will be judged by age group and prizes will be awarded for best costume. Prizes will also be awarded for best parent’s costume.

For safety reasons, those who wish to set up their cars to distribute candy at the Trunk or Treat should arrive between 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. Feel free to decorate your car for the occasion.
