Mahwah Resident Selected as Bergen County Volunteer of the Year

Mahwah resident Carolyn Blake was recently selected as the Bergen County Volunteer of the Year by the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse.

Blake is the president of the Mahwah Municipal Alliance, which has sponsored innovative programs on a variety of social issues.

Mahwah Mayor William Laforet says Blake’s contribution has changed the lives of youth in Mahwah community. Similarly, Mahwah Police Chief James Batelli said this award demonstrates Blake’s commitment to her community.

Blake is also involved in Mahwah’s youth sports program and has served as Program Administrator for the Youth Lacrosse Program. She was also an Executive HSO member for the Ramapo Ridge Middle School and Joyce Kilmer School in Mahwah. Professionally, Blake is the Business Development Manager for CASME Market Focus.

A presentation of the award for Blake, who lives in Mahwah with her husband and their three children, will be held at the Princeton Marriott in Princeton, NJ.
