Mahwah Restaurant Holds 'December to Remember' Events

Sangria Restaurant, a modern Spaniard restaurant and bar specializing in authentic flavor-filled cuisine, signature Sangrias, wines and spirits, will hold events throughout December.

Starting on Dec. 13 and running through Dec. 20, customers can enjoy Sangria Week by tasting various Sangrias. Chief Mixologist Matt Burns has prepared a Sangria Tasting flight including five different Sangrias. The three-ounce offerings include Classic Red and White, Holiday Peppermint, Pumpkin Spiced, and Cranberry Pomegranate. This is offered all week for $10 per flight.

On New Year’s Eve, customers can celebrate with a special 4-course dinner and party beginning at 9 p.m. Chef Hank Barrett is preparing a special menu for the evening including special Tapas and main courses. Guests will receive a 4-course meal, a choice of a bottle of wine or carafe of Sangria, party favors, a Champagne toast to ring in New Year, and music and dancing. This special is being offered for $89 per person and tickets/reservations are strongly encouraged. Our a la carte menu will be available that evening until 7pm.

Sangria highlights include traditional and signature Sangrias, wines from around the world including different regions of Spain, innovative Tapas, Mariscada, El Toro Angus Burger, Caldo Gallego, Charcuterie and Cheese Platter, Stuffed Pan Roasted Chicken, “Bullfighter” Steak, and various Paellas. Thursdays is Sangria nights with half priced Sangria and live entertainment.

Located at Ramapo Centre, 1033 MacArthur Blvd. in Mahwah, the 90-person restaurant is styled after a rustic Spaniard bistro with stunning art, convenient location with plenty of parking.
