Mahwah Student Receives National Writing Medal

Molly Wolf's work was among the top 1 percent of entries in the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

MAHWAH, NJ — A township high school student has received a prestigious national award.

Senior Molly Wolf has earned a National Medal for her work entered in the 2018 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers presents the annual awards.

Wolf's work was among the top 1 percent of the more than 350,000 entries submitted.

Wolf has been invited to a ceremony at Carnegie Hall in June. Her work may be showcased at Parsons School for Design at The New School and Pratt Institute's Pratt Manhattan Gallery in New York City.

"We are proud to have Molly represent our school in this year's Scholastic Art & Writing Awards," said John Pascale, Mahwah High School principal.
