Mahwah To Compete In County Tournament

The Mahwah Thunderbirds (11-8) earned the number sixteen berth in the 53rd Bergen County Baseball Tournament following Monday night's seeding. Overall, 20 teams qualified for the tournament with the top seed going to undefeated Don Bosco.

Rounding out the rest of the field are second seeded St. Joseph Regional, Paramus, Dumont, Emerson, Glen Rock, Lyndhurst, Ramapo, Bergen Catholic, Ridgewood, Old Tappan, St. Mary, Ramsey, Waldwick, Wallington, Midland Park, Ridgefield, Westwood and Rutherford.

The first round of the Tournament begins on Wednesday with the bottom eight seeds competing for a shot in Saturday's Round of 16. All games are played at the higher seed with Midland Park heading to Mahwah.
