Mahwah Wine and Dine Senior Trip Sept. 12

The Hudson Valley Wine and Dine Senior Center Trip will be on Friday, Sept. 12 at 9:30 a.m.

The tour will feature deluxe motor coach transportation, a winery tour and tasting at Brotherhood Winery and a three course luncheon at Ristorante Caterina De Medici.

The trip is $51 per person and checks must be made out to Airbrook Limo. Any Mahwah resident aged 62 and older can attend.

Tour Itinerary:

11:30 am: Welcome to the world’s premier culinary college. You will begin your day with a delicious three course luncheon at Ristorante Caterina De Medici. Enjoy regional Italian cuisine and savor Italy’s authentic flavors in a magnificent Tuscan villa setting.

After lunch, you are free to browse in the bookstore, where you will find an assortment of high quality culinary merchandise.

1:30 pm: Then it is on to Brotherhood Winery, America’s oldest winery. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to tour the romantic underground cellars, comparable to those of famous European wineries, and taste a variety of award winning wines. You can also browse through their history of Brotherhood exhibit; learn interesting facts about grape growing and winemaking and stock up on your favorite wines, available at special prices. Do not forget to visit the winery’s gift shop, offering souvenirs, gifts and more.

Please be advised that there are stairs going up and down the cellars. The cellars can also be chilly, so please dress appropriately.

4:00 pm: After an exciting day in the Hudson Valley, we depart home with memories of a wonderful trip.
