Man Pleads Guilty To Conspiring With Bergen Woman To Distribute 2 Kilograms Of Cocaine
Ramis Esteves, 33, faces 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.

A New York man Wednesday pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute cocaine he received in the mail last year, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman said.
Ramis Esteves, 33, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Claire C. Cecchi, Fishman said.
Esteves was arrested March 24, 2015 in Bergen County after he accepted delivery of about two kilograms of cocaine that was sent through the mail from Puerto Rico, authorities said.

Esteves admitted that he conspired with Sasha Melendez, 37, a co-defendant, of Bergenfield, to distribute the cocaine, Fishman said.
The conspiracy charges carries with it a potential penalty of 20 years and a $1 million fine. Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 29.
