"By making masking optional, we are respecting an individual’s choice regarding continued in-school use of a mask," administrators said in last month's announcement. "Parents, students, and staff who wish to continue to mask during the school day are able to do so. As a school and community, it is imperative that we remain respectful of the personal decisions of students, parents, and staff.

"Our students, staff, and families are applauded for working collaboratively with us - over the past two years - to adhere to the masking mandate, regardless of one’s personal beliefs. We have come together, as a school community, to support our students, staff, and each other during these unprecedented times: Together and forward."
