Museum Raffling Two Signed Les Paul Guitars

Purchase raffle tickets at local businesses

The announces a raffle of two guitars autographed by Les Paul, the legendary guitarist and inventor. The winning tickets will be drawn at 9:30 p.m. on June 9, 2012 at the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College at a gala celebration of what would have been Les Paul’s 97th birthday.   

First prize is an Epiphone E Series Guitar signed by Les Paul and many of the musicians who played with him at Fat Tuesdays in New York. Second prize is a Fender Stratocaster signed with personalized messages by Les Paul and Steve Miller of the Steve Miller Band. Raffle tickets are $25 each.

Tickets can be purchased at the Mahwah Museum, 201 Franklin Turnpike, open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 – 5 p.m. Tickets are also available at Devon Fine Jewelry (303 Franklin Ave., Wyckoff), (280 Route 17, Mahwah), Alto Music  (328 Rt. 59, Airmont, NY) and , 2 Island Road, Mahwah. The 97th birthday gala, to be held at the Trustees Pavilion at Ramapo College at 7:30 p.m. on June 9, will feature wine, hors d’oeuvres and light fare, musical entertainment, a live auction of other autographed guitars and a silent auction of music memorabilia. Admission tickets are $25 each. 

“Les Paul in Mahwah: A Tribute” continues at the Museum through June 30. This exhibit celebrates the life and genius of Les Paul who lived in Mahwah for over 50 years.
