BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — An interstate park known for its hikes, picnics, and historical events has posted its Memorial Day weekend hours and activities.

Officials said Tuesday, "We expect to have all park areas in the Palisades Interstate Park in New Jersey open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. for Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, May 25 to May 27, 2024."

They noted, "The park's riverfront picnic areas will fill early! Parking spaces cannot be reserved or held, and readmission is not guaranteed after leaving an area."

Metered Parking will be in effect at picnic areas and Hazard's Ramp, Fort Lee Historic Park, Allison Park, and State Line Lookout.

The park will be conducting Memorial Day-related activities in the next few weeks, including wartime movies and a D-Day commemoration.

Palisades Interestate Park is a national historic landmark. It's not located in the actual town of Palisades Park, and gives its mailing address as Alpine.
