Police Seize LSD, Ecstasy During Mahwah Traffic Stop

BREAKING: Justin J. Rosario, 26, of Bronx, New York, was arrested after police said they found drugs packaged for sale.

MAHWAH, NJ — Police arrested a New York man after they found LSD, Ecstasy and marijuana packaged for distribution in a minivan during a traffic stop recently, authorities said.

Officer Sean Hayes stopped a Chrysler minivan on Route 17 North for careless driving and while speaking with the driver, Justin J. Rosario, 26, of Bronx, New York, smelled "raw marijuana" inside the vehicle, said Chief James Batelli.

Police searched the vehicle and found: 16 clear plastic bags of marijuana packaged for distribution, Ecstasy tablets, a prescription bottle with paper tabs rolled in tin foil believed to be LSD and drug paraphernalia, including a marijuana pipe, rolling papers, several plastic baggies and $715, Batelli said.

Rosario was charged with possession of LSD, possession with intent to distribute LSD, possession of Ecstasy, possession with intent to distribute Ecstasy, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the chief said.

Rosario was remanded to the Bergen County Jail.
