Presentation Of 'Joyce Kilmer On Stage' To Be Held At Mahwah Library

Performance composed of dramatizations of nine of KIlmer's poems, including "Trees".

Dramatizations of nine of Joyce Kilmer’s poems, including ”Trees,” will be performed on stage by the Joyce Kilmer Society of Mahwah.

Kilmer lived in Mahwah from 1912 to 1916. He was killed in action in World War I in France. He was 31. KIlmer wrote ”Trees”, his most famous poem, in Mahwah in 1913.

Performers will be dressed in period attire during the performances. The nine poems that will be dramatized are: “Trees,” “The House With Nobody In It,” “The Twelve-Forty-Five,” “Dave Lilly,” “The Snowman in the Yard,” “Delicatessen,” “Rogue Bouquet,” “Easter Week,” and ”Martin”.
