Author Of Book About 33 Chilean Miners To Speak At Ramapo College

Pulitzer Prize-winning author Hector Tobar will speak during Opening Convocation at Ramapo College Sept. 1.

Tobar won the Pulitzer Prize. He is the author of “Deep Down Dark: The Untold Stories of 33 Men Buried in a Chilean Mine, and the MIracle That Set Them Free.”

Tobar will sign copies of the book after giving the 2 p.m. talk. The book chronicles the horrific ordeal the 33 men faced and integrates each man’s personal experience into the book’s narrative tale.
