Teen Sex Trafficking Ring Busted In Marietta

A 15-year-old girl called 911 and said she was forced to have sex with several men and threatened with death if she ran away.

MARIETTA, GA – Police in Marietta say they busted a sex-trafficking ring operating in the city after a 15-year-old girl told them she was forced to have sex with men under threat of being killed.

Four people were arrested Monday after search warrants were executed for two guest rooms at the Days Inn at 2191 Northwest Parkway in Marietta.

According to police, the 15-year-old girl called 911 at about 6 a.m. on Monday asking for help. She told an operator she had been forced to have sex with several men and was told that if she left she would be killed.

Marietta Police Department detectives rescued the girl and interviewed her about what had happened leading up to her calling 911. Based on her statements, they secured search warrants for the hotel rooms. Three people were arrested in those rooms and a fourth person was arrested at a nearby hotel.

They face the following charges:

  • Kamari Bolden, 22, of Atlanta, was charged with trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude.
  • A 17-year-old girl, from Marietta, was charged with giving a false name and date of birth to officers and trafficking.
  • Kenneth Thomas, 22, of Fairburn, was charged with keeping a place of prostitution, pimping and trafficking.
  • Douglas White, 26, of Dallas, was charged with pimping and trafficking.

All four were booked into Cobb County Detention Center on Monday evening.

"We commend this young victim for having the courage to report the crime as well as the hard work our detectives put into thwarting this operation while still in its infancy," Marietta Police said in a news release.
