Special Properties Named Christie's Affiliate of the Year

NORTHERN NEW JERSEY -- April 22, 2019 — With the exquisite Palace of Versailles’ Gallery of Great Battles, a venue not open to the general public, as its backdrop, Christie’s International Real Estate (CIRE) distributed its annual Affiliate of the Year awards for 2018 as part of its 2019 Annual Global Conference, held on April 3 and 4 in Paris, France. Special Properties Real Estate Services, New Jersey’s fastest growing real estate brokerage, was honored as an Overall Winner of CIRE’s Affiliate of the Year honor. This is the second Affiliate of the Year award for Special Properties, which was also named a winner in 2017. Special Properties has a brokerage location at 1009 MacArthur Boulevard in Mahwah, NJ.

Awards are given each year in four categories – Small, Medium, and Large Markets (based on market population – with the top honor given to the overall winner regardless of market size. Criteria used are business innovation, market leadership, passion to succeed in the local and global marketplace under the Christie’s International Real Estate brand, and collaboration with network colleagues and the Christie’s art auction house. The results are a closely guarded secret until the evening, when the results are announced. Special Properties opened its first three brokerages in 2017, with its Mahwah office rising to number one in the market for both sales and listings by dollar volume. The brokerage has since expanded into Morris, Hudson and Essex Counties. In 2018, Special Properties reported a four-fold increase in both the number of transactions and revenue in volume sold. Special Properties was also a sponsor of Christie’s landmark auction of the Rockefeller Collection and Christie’s International Real Estate’s sponsorship of the Concours d’Elegance auto show in Pebble Beach.
