JANET ARIEMMA FOR MAHWAH COUNCIL (VOTE COLUMN 5)

“I love this town for its natural beauty and safety, its low taxes, great school system and our community activities and spirit, all of these the work of many dedicated townspeople. I want to continue working to make Mahwah the best it can be and to ensure that, as a community, our spirit is strong and cohesive.”

This year Janet reiterated her platform of lower taxes, controlled development. She has also voiced her commitment to work together with the mayor and other council members, whomever they may be, with openness and transparency while owing her vote to no bloc or political party.

Among other goals, she is committed to keeping the character and diversity of Mahwah’s neighborhoods and our small-town feel; controlling high-density housing, especially in sensitive areas; preserving our parklands and opposing the pipelines that threaten them; and prioritizing the installation of a cell tower for the underserved Masonicus area.

Janet actively supports our volunteers, seniors and veterans, Mahwah Schools and Girl Scout and Boy Scout activities, all so valuable and so essential to the Mahwah community.

In Janet’s own words,

“I have no personal or political agenda. I only want what is best for Mahwah. After considering all views, I vote my conscience for the benefit of Mahwah and its residents. I am not affiliated with any special interests or parties, so my loyalties are to YOU, THE PEOPLE OF MAHWAH. If elected, I will support Mahwah residents and respond to their concerns to the very best of my ability.”

Thank you.
