Bergen Husband And Wife Dead In Murder-Suicide: Prosecutor
Scott Sabia, 45, killed himself and his wife, Michele, Wednesday night, the county prosecutor said.

A Carlstadt husband shot and killed his wife on their home's lawn Wednesday evening, which lead to an hours-long standoff between himself and a SWAT team before he took his own life, authorities said.
Scott Sabia, 45, killed his wife, Michele, who was found dead of a gunshot wound in front of the couple's home, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said late Wednesday night.

Grewal said the couple's three children escaped from the home. The Daily Voice reported police brought the three children out of the home and over a backyard fence to safety after Scott Sabia shot and killed his wife.
Sabia then allegedly let police go in the home to retrieve his wife's body, The Daily Voice reported.

Witnesses reported hearing loud noises coming from the home, which could have been flashbang grenades used by law enforcement officials, News12 reported.
The SWAT team also deployed a bomb robot to try and get information as to what was happening inside the house, News12 reported.
