These Mahwah Teachers Are Among The Highest Paid In NJ

MAHWAH, NJ — A few local teachers are among the highest paid in New Jersey.

The state Department of Education released its annual list of teachers' salaries for 2017. The Mahwah teachers who made the list all make significantly more than the average statewide salary of $70,637, which also includes librarians, guidance counselors, and other non-administrative staff, according to an NJ Spotlight analysis.

The local teachers who are among the 1,000 highest paid are:

• Monica Adams, Joyce Kilmer School, $118,700
• Jan Pimm, Joyce Kilmer School, $114,620
• Alysse Daches, Joyce Kilmer School, $114,120
• Regina Guth, Ramapo Ridge School, $114,120
• Karen Carlson-Smith, Betsy Ross Elementary School, $114,120
• Joan Mangan, Ramapo Ridge School, $114,120
• Ronald Kort, Mahwah High School, $114,120
