It’s been a while since I’ve picked up the pen errr sat a computer whatever been a bit since I’ve written my usual banter here but ……

I’m glad to see Patrick Ewing get his chance to be a head coach beginning at his alma mater Georgetown, here’s hoping the big fella can restore the glory of the days of his youth at the Washington DC campus….Baseball ahhhh yes baseball is back the first real sign of spring,,,,,hard to be real optimistic for the local warriors here in hardball….the Yankees are in a short but determined youth movement it will be interesting to see how the youth develops although odd to enter a season with no real expectations of post season play….on the other hand the Mets and their fans have visions of grandeur hoping for a return to the fall classic……I say not so fast, the Mets two biggest opponents are health and age and already Matz is out till June and Syndergaard has been pushed back after his opening day performance….if the starting pitching can stay healthy and major injuries can be avoided AND THEY ARE TWO BIG IFS…. The Mets should be in post season play.

Loud, arrogant, uninformed, boring----yep I’m talking about the View, the worst TV show ever somebody is sleeping at ABC….speaking of sleeping can somebody at WFAN put MIked UP to sleep…the departing Mike Francessa has already mailed it in on his upcoming December departure from the station which has resulted in the longest boring victory lap ever,,,,he’s lost a lot off his fastball,,,,I mean leave already!

Giants fans are undoubtedly sad to see Tony Romo retire as was announced at press time. ….Tony was the best Giants player against the Cowgurls many times and Big Blue will miss getting his costly turnovers at crunch time,,,,,,If Romo signs at CBS it will be interesting to see how his signing affects Boomer and/or Phil Simms

Somebody told me that its Masters week as the golf world turns its eyes down Washington Avenue to Augusta National…..there’s a big dark cloud over the golf world and the demise of Tiger is starting to take hold in casual interest and/viewership of golf,,,I know I will be watching but on another matter,,,,,the LPGA issued a 4 stroke penalty to Lexie Thompson robbing her of a major victory because a viewer noticed something on TV and called it in…..WHAAAAAAT! this is terrible and must be rectified for the public to take golf seriously….called a game of honor the pro golf tours also have officials that walk the course with the players,,,,if the official doesn’t penalize the player and the other players in the group don’t indicate anything the sport cannot and should not follow edicts given by folks downing a cold one in front of their high deft vs……yanno ?
