Toxic History Of Bergen County (Due To Ford Plant) To Be Topic Of Museum Talk
Dr. Stead "played a pivotal role in advocating for this Ford Motor Company remedial work" in the area, the Mahwah Museum says.
MAHWAH, NJ — The Mahwah Musem will hold a talk on Monday about the "toxic legacy" left by the Ford motor plant in the area after it shut down decades ago.
Dr. Chuck Stead will lead the program, "Toxic Legacy Revisited."
Stead has spoken before about matters of local interest, particularly the cleanup of materials that remained in the Ramapo Watershed — near the New Jersey/New York border — after the Ford plant left Mahwah.
